Christmas Giveaway!

I have decided to have a Christmas Giveaway! I have a surprise in mind to giveaway to one lucky person. To win all you have to do is leave a comment on my blog, I would like for you to tell me of a special thing or tradition you and your family do at Christmas time. It is so neat to hear stories of how different families spend the holidays. This year we will be making a lot of new traditions with it being Connor's first Christmas. So everybody leave a comment and your name will go in a jar. On Monday, December 10th I will draw a name and you could be the winner. Good luck to all. I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.

I'm sure you know our "Stewart Family" Tradition, but I will share with everyone else.-(cause, you know I'm obsessed with winning!)

Our tradition is very special to all of us! Every year on Christmas day, we all gather in the living room of my Grannyma & Pap's house. Someone is chosen to read a passage out of the bible. We always read the story of the birth of Jesus! I LOVE THIS!!!! It is such a wonderful, peaceful, moment to think about the TRUE meaning of Christmas- which is the birth of our Savior, Lord, Jesus Christ.
Then, after it is read, we all hold hands and say a prayer, and then we open gifts. I love my family so very much and look forward to this again every single year!!!
I love ya Kirby Shell!!!

Kirby,
You know my mom and traditions. LOL We have several. One that we have done since Wes and I were little is wear Christmas pj's on Xmas eve and then while we open our gifts from Santa (yes, we still have Santa, too) LOL. Mom still buys us pj's...even Bryan has to wear pj pants. LOL We also all get a Christmas ornament from her every year. We have Christmas pictures made every year to go on her Christmas cards. Another one is that we get to open one gift of her choice on Xmas eve.

I can't wait till Ella gets to experience these, too! Hope you get lots of great ideas from everyone. Love you!

On Christmas Eve day we always let our boys open one gift. That evening we gather with my husband's family and eat finger foods and open presents. On Christmas morning we do the Santa thing and I cook a really good breakfast before we make the rounds to my family and my husband's grandmother. That night we just hang out at home and let the boys play with their gifts.

Well, Paula beat me to the punch but that is ok. I love our traditions as well and hope that we always do them and remember the true meaning of the season!
Love you!

One of my favorite things I do at Christmas is buy a book for my wonderful nieces and nephew - Madison, Bella and Brett! I write a note to them in the front of it. Then they take it home and Sonya (mom) reads it to them at night. They will keep talking about the book, and they know they are getting a new one each year. They always open it and want us to read the message out loud immediately. It is so sweet! I love it!

Merry Christmas to all!
Love u

I love watching Christmas movies with my kids. Home Alone is our favorite and we all stay in the same room on Christmas Eve and laugh trying to go to sleep because we are so excited! Merry Christmas everyone!

OK girl...Well, the Christmas traditions at our house is going to my Granmother's on Christmas Eve. My moms side is of the family is HUGE!!!! All the women bring a dessert and all the men decide who's is the best!!! The first time Stacey went with me he liked to have flipped out! Stacey is never at a lose of words but, when he walked into my grandmother's house and he actually looked scared! After eight years he actually loves going now because, even though there is so many of us we are all so close. He has a "little" family so I'm glas that he has got to see the other side too!
Love ya Kirby girl. Cya Monday!!!

Kirby! such a cute idea! The last few years for my family..we have all written down our most memorable Christmas-we put them in a jar and someone reads them! we try and figure out which memory goes with which person. Last year we video taped my grandmother telling her most memorable Christmas..and since she's passed..Im soo glad we did that..now we have that memory to add to our collection!

We always have Christmas eve dinner with my brother and open presents with him. This is a tradition we started with our mom when we moved out, having Christmas eve dinner. Since she has passed on we keep up the tradition.
Another tradition that she started was the opening of one present on Christmas eve. It was always pajamas, which I didn't realize until I was older! LoL.
On Christmas day we always have a big country breakfast at my dad's. Then we go on to eat dinner at my in law's house.

We started a tradition when Lauren and Leah were very young and we still do it today!! It involves the whole family and passes the time quickly when you are riding in a car.
We play a game called "I See Lights". As you travel down the road and see Christmas lights you had better say it fast "I see lights!" and you'll get a point. The one with the most points at the end of your journey wins!!
It is a Chirstmas tradition that will last a life time!

I hope I'm no too late! Even if I am, here's one of our "new" traditions...Since our family has grown so much lately, my mom rents two cabins at Rock Island and we all spend the weekend before Christmas there. We eat, open presents, play board games, make Christmas cookies and just enjoy spending time with each other :)
